This piece was a commissioned piece for someone who is passionate about the Homer Spit, a unique area jutting out from the Homer Alaskan coast. I enjoyed working closely with our buyer, reviewing the work several times during the painting process to ensure a satisfied customer.
Stephen began his study with oils over 20 years ago while working as a financial services executive. In 2014 he began to focus his attention on painting landscapes and animal portraiture. Stephen's work is influenced by greats such as Monet and Sargent, as well as by the contemporary artists Michael James Smith and Andrew Tischler.
